INTRODUCTION
In 2009, KTIAM was upgraded to a university college known as Kolej Universiti Islam Melaka and subsequently planned to establish an Institute of Graduate Studies (IPS) which conducts Higher Degree and Doctor of Philosophy programs. The establishment of the Institute of Graduate Studies (IPS) is in line with the Malaysian government's intention to produce 60000 graduates with Doctor of Philosophy (PHD) degrees in 2023 and make KUIM one of the institutions that realize the government's aspirations. In relation to that, KUIM has started offering sixteen (16) programs, namely five (5) Doctor of Philosophy level programs and eleven (11) Masters level programs.
DEVELOPMENT AND PROGRESS
The Institute of Graduate Studies is constantly evolving and advancing in terms of student recruitment and program offerings. Until 2020, the IPS offers a total of sixteen (16) programs, namely five (5) Doctor of Philosophy level study programs and Eleven (11) Master's level programs with a current total of 100 students.
